Our first transformer with nanocrystalline core, LL2793NC, is now available for purchase. It is a line output transformer, similar to the LL1680 or LL1689 (9+9 : 1+1+1+1), but with turns ratio
4+4 : 1+1+1+1. Nanocrystalline is so far the most exclusive core option in our transformer range.
From Rumen Artarski at Thrax Audio, one of our reference customers, we have received the following very favorable comments:
“Sonically I could not find a fault in the transformer. The quietness and clarity is outstanding. Texture is very dense, rich and saturated. Exactly what you would expect from a Nano core. We still need to play with the different wiring combinations to see which works best. It clearly outperforms the other cores sonically. Grounding of secondary affects noise pickup.”
