The building style for our tube amplifier transformers is not particularly well suited for DIY amplifier builders. With high voltage present on the terminals of a naked transformer, the transformers should not be placed uncovered on top of the normal “pizza box” amplifier.
So we commissioned a designer to make two sizes of enclosures for us, one for LL1620-size transformers and one for LL1638 and LL1660 size transformers.
Our housings give you the same flexibility in terms of the electrical configuration of our transformers as you would have with a naked transformer. And because of the solid 2mm thick steel sheet used in the housings, any magnetic coupling between the transformer and the outer world is additionally reduced. We think this is the best technical solution possible.
